Day 2 - 7 weeks and 5 days remaining...

Played basketball last night and felt really sluggish. My body was very tired and I couldn't really get the bursts of energy I usually rely on. I'm not the greatest, but it was tough to keep my energy consistent. Pre-game, I actually load up on carbs but yesterday I didn't because of the meal plan. My body is obviously adjusting to the new fuel I'm consuming. I'm excited to see how it goes by next Monday to compare my performance.

After basketball, I got home and drank a protein shake prepared by my wife and had the leftover chili from my dinner. We secretly had some pizza and pasta left in the fridge, but I throw out the pizza to avoid any temptation. I would love a slice of pizza right now. I would love a cheeseburger.

Read a quote about keeping your mitochondria happy lol.  Vivi and I follow an aspiring osteopath and her IG is kinda fire.

The quote that stood out to me was "staying away from toxins and stagnant lymph by detoxing and getting bodywork."

This resonated with me because all of the holidays and most of January have been pretty indulgent. We (mostly me) were drinking a lot during the holidays. Consuming all types of toxins which included all of the things you shouldn't if you're trying to live a healthy life. I'm excited to give this type of sobriety a shot. I've done it before and it's pretty amazing to achieve that level of clarity when you're abstaining from drinking, but mixing it with healthy eating + fitness is something I've never done before.

One last note: I'me excited to see what my skin looks like. Right now I'm typically red in the fact and I wanna see if this diet + fitness plan clears my shit up and reduces the swelling.

Here's a pic of me at work. Maybe my jawline becomes more defined? Maybe I lose the fat off my cheeks? Who knows! But exciting nonetheless.

Until tomorrow, you beanssss!
